The release version of X1 is ready now, compatibility tests were fine.
The first orders from http://www.serdashop.com/DreamblasterX1 were sent out,
and all seems ok, happy people.

Phil also has his X1, release version (same as you can buy in the shop --> VOGONS config with jumpers)

Phil's review has made me a believer. I'm planning on purchasing an X1 to pair with my Diamond Monster Aureal Vortex2 sound card in a Pentium 4 Win98/DOS gaming monster machine. I'm nearly ready!

I did some recordings, comparing the X1 in a head to head comparison against the Roland SC-55 and Yamaha MU80. I use a 3-way audio switch to switch "live" between them. Check out how the X1 does:
