My favorite one is the one on the first picture, on the second shelf from the bottom, the 3rd case from left to right, and next to your black AT case. That one with the grey 5.25 floppy and the "folded" looking styling. It totally matches the 386 DOS age. 😉 Does it have a flip-type power switch on the front? What's inside that one?

I'm a big fan of the Baby AT tower cases. Cute little things. And also the perfect size for a home computer if you ask me. They're nice and compact.

I also love all your Gateway 2000 cases. Gateway 2000 is my favorite OEM brand name 90's computer.

Thanks. This is my "3 year of intense looking" at my local Deseret Industries thrift store. I'm slowing going through all of these and restoring them (YES...all batteries have been removed).

I'm hoping to resale these, or find enthusiasts who want/need a specific case. I know someone out there NEEDS their exact old computer case.

You can't see it in any photos, but I found my EXACT case I had my first PC (386) when i was 12. I have never ever found the exact case in any listing or photo online, and probably never will. I feel very lucky to have found one at my local thrift store. I would have gladly paid $500 for the case alone. Instead, I found it in pretty good condition, with a fully loaded 486-66 inside for only $5 . =)

EDIT: Yes, that particular case has the flip switch on the front. VERY much 386-era. A lot of these would be 486-pentium cases. But that one nails it for being a 386.

EDIT2: My childhood case isn't pictured. I'll grab a photo of it and my other full towers later today and post them.

I'm curious, which one was the case of your childhood? Mine was a Pentium 1 AST Advantage. It's in one of my earlier threads on here.

The top two (3 and 4) are owning a special category in crappiness. They are so bad, nothing aligns with nothing so everything installed is bend or tilted. Number 1 is the best (you should have seen the thickness of steel used in it, not used anymore in even the $$$ cases) but unfortunately, its plastic parts are falling apart (not aged well, become very brittle I suppose). It also has two features that I never seen before: Not only the cover, but also the chassis is powder coated in beige, and it has a front side AT keyboard port. This one is also an almost exact replica of my first ever PC, but the case I'm looking for and never able to find yet is something like this (almost exactly same but mine also had a MHz display beside the badge):

#1 and #2 look so cool, so much personality.

That front mounted keyboard port on #1 is awesome. I love that.

No 1 looks a lot like my 386 rig - case is almost identical, including the frontal keyboard port. Mine has a MHz display tough, and the plastic bits actually aged very well on my case. Also very thick steel, powdercoated. That and no3 from the first picture I posted are my favorite AT cases from my collection.

I do own a case that looks similar, actually made by the same company (Sunshine Inc) but it's a newer model and is slightly different (no 4 from the first picture I posted). The picture I posted above is from an ebay auction. It contained a pretty ordinary 486 dx2, so the innards didn't interest me at all, but I would have bought it just to get my hands on a case like the one my childhood PC had. Unfortunately, by the time I mustered up the 150$ the seller was asking for, the auction ended. Good riddance too, shipping alone would have been at least 80$ for a complete PC.

Still looking for a case like it - If anyone has such a case, I'm willing to buy / trade for it.

I actually have a case like your no4 - it came with a 90mhz socekt 5 pentium, but I haven't found any use for it yet.

Yup 😁 also not shown in the pictures are a socket 775 Pentium D 940 / Foxconn i865 motherboard, AGP x1950xt / Creative Xfi Gamer housed in a shiny Antec P182, my slot A rig (athlon 850 / asus amd chipset board / no ram, no gpu, no HDD) and a Compaq Deskpro 1000. I keep the Pentium D in another room because the video card is so noisy it bothers my fiancee - the Slot A rig is unfinished - will probably get a GF 2 ultra or a radeon 8500 later on - and the compaq has a missing side panel...
