Hey!

I managed to upgrade one of my DX2-66 with an Intel 5V DX4-100 Overdrive processor and now I'm looking for which of my VLB cards would be the best for that system.
I have:

- S3 805 1MB (http://www.amoretro.de/2013/01/jaton-vl41cv2- … al-bus-vlb.html)
- miro Crystal 8S 1MB (might be able to ugprade it to 2MB)
- CL-GD5426-80QC-B 2MB

do you know which of them has the best performance for the DX4-100?

thanks!

As a general rule, S3's were fast and compatible. The Miro I don't know anything about, so I'd wait for input on that first as it might be good.

Edit: A quick Google search implies the Miro is another S3 805 but I could be wrong.

thanks! yes, the Miro is another S3 805, cool thing 😀

I can't upgrade it however because I don't have any of those ultra-high performance low power 256K x 4 bit FPM CMOS dynamic RAM chips 🙁 (datasheed attached).

I would use the Miro. It probably has better signal quality than the Jaton card.
