Hey all,
I mentioned I got a lot of hardware locally. I was diagnosing my M919 Motherboard, but now, I have another socket 3 mobo. Its got UMC chips, and the model number is MB-8433UUD-A Ver:2. This mobo works, and the pci video cards I have work on it. The only thing is, its got a ODIN RTC chip. Well, I desoldered it and I do have a compatible Dallas RTC. However I wanted to see if instead of using the RTC, I could solder a CR2032 battery holder directly to the mobo. Now, would I solder it to where the old RTC went, or where the external battery would go? The ext. battery has no pins for jumpers on it, its just holes filled with solder. I'm really eager to get this board working. Thanks!

Main: AMD FX 6300 six core 3.5ghz (OC 4ghz)

dallas/odin are more than just a battery, maybe you can try modding them to accept a CR2032:
