In Windows 98, upon shutdown, selecting the option of "Restart in MS-DOS Mode" will trigger a batch file before you see the command prompt. The contents of this batch file are not in autoexec.bat.

In my experience, the files that are to be loaded belong to sound cards that need a driver to operate in DOS (Vortex 2, Yamaha DS-XG).

I loaded the Yamaha drivers on my system (I have an SE440BX-2 with optional integrated Yamaha audio), but I switched to another SE440BX-2 without the integrated audio.

However, when I use "Restart in MS-DOS Mode," some batch file (I assume) is trying to load the DOS drivers for the non-existent Yamaha audio.

Which file should contain these commands? I'd like to edit it to remove all references to the Yamaha audio. Thanks!
