Does soft reset work?

Cntrl Alt Del resets the computer in Dos ( this is using using the 486 Asus AP4 motherboard with this card).
I recall soft resetting working with the SATA TX2plus. Did you try Ultra66, 100, 133 TX2 IDE cards with soft reset?

It also works with the S150 TX4. Don't have the Ultra66, 100, 133 models to test.
I tested a 2005 Adaptec 2410sa PCI-X card. This is a 4 port SATA raid controller. It boots and works in non-raid jbod mode using a connected SSD with DOS on a 486 Asus AP4, (420ex chipset).
Same with a HighPoint RocketRAID 1820A 8 port SATA raid controller. Bit overkill for a 486 but good to know both these 64bit PCI-X cards are working in 32bit PCI2.0 slots.
