Hello!

Recently started up an old 486 with a DX2-66 CPU.

When i boot and reboot (soft) the BIOS shows different amounts of cache and CPU-speed.

Sometimes it shows
64KB Cache Memory
80486DX2-66Mhz CPU

Starting MS-DOS...

Sometimes it is
256KB Cache Memory
80486DX2-66MHz CPU

Starting MS-DOS...

And after pressing reset button it shows just
80486DX2-50MHz CPU
Starting MS-DOS...

Any ideas? Hardware problems? BIOS bug?

It's an AMIBIOS (American Megatrends).

HIMEM started to show an error message at boot aswell, so I tried changing the memory sticks.

Now everything looks normal when booting the computer, BIOS reports right cache and CPU speed, even after soft reboot. Speedsys shows DX2-66MHz.
