Pentium 4 2.0A, 2.40 (FSB 533), 2.53. 2.60 (FSB 400), 2.66 and 2.80 (FSB 533) in two plataforms, an old i845PE system with DDR333 (DDR 266 for FSB 400) and a newer i865PE system with dual channel DDR 400 (DDR333 mode for FSB 533 and DDR266 mode for FSB 400). Testing FSB 800 CPUs and Prescotts on the i865PE Platform tomorrow
Pentium D 930, Celeron D 355 (Prescott) and 352 (Celdar Mill), Celeron 420 and Pentium E2140 on a ASUS P5PE-VM with dual channel DDR 320 (i noticed late when i found out i used DDR333 instead of 400 on that system)

Does someone tried 7-zip on a Pentium 4 clcoked higher than 3.4 ghz or a Gallatin based Pentium 4 Extreme Edition? I'll bench my P4 670 when it comes and i have a situable mobo for it

What is your biggest Pentium 4 Collection?

You were wanting 7-zip run on a Pentium 4 clocked higher than 3.4 Ghz? Okay! Ask and you shall receive....... 😎 🤣

It's only running with single channel ram at the moment though, I can't find my other stick.

EDIT: Nevermind, went in the other room and it was on the table under some wires (the ram stick.) Here we go P4 in "All it's glory" dual channel mode.

Looks like memory bandwidth isn't exactly a limiter there. 😉

Nope, it's most likely just the P4 architecture being a steaming pile of poo.

Nine. I have an E300 notebook. Funny that a Pentium D can beat it...

i just noticied the E300 is not only slower than a Pentium D, is also slower than any P4 HT clocked at +2.8 GHz or even my dual P3-S 1.4 GHz Tualatin Server aparently

Edit: Already over 200 CPUs benched

Here are a bunch of different CPUs. The DDR-equipped PIII-S @ 1575 just destroys the P4-2400 here. It's also over twice as fast as the Athlon-1333 at compression. I'm guessing 7-Zip makes heavy use of SSE?

Interestingly enough, the 3GHz Opteron 185 is a fair bit faster than the 2.93GHz C2D E7500 at decompression. And the overclocked i7 is high as a kite.
All are running v9.2. Will add more CPUs as I get the chance.

Pentium M @ 2.72, 2GB DDR2-544 dual-channel, Win7 SP1.
Not bad at all for a 1C/1T processor.

Added 3 Skylake Laptop CPUs: an i7 6700HQ, an i7 6500U and an i5 6200U, aparently the 6700HQ beats my main i5 rig even at 4.8 ghz OC, the i7 6500U beats my i5 3210M laptop and the i5 6200U loses to my 3 1/2 year old i5 3210M laptop

Thanks, it's great to see some Skylake procs on the list.

I started to add it and the Sheet started having fits. Keeps asking me to reload in an endless loop. Going to leave it alone for a bit and check back in later to see if it's cleared up. In the meantime, if someone else can get in and feels like it, go ahead and finish entering agent_x007's results.

Thx.

edit: Got it. My ISP was having some outages. All good now. 😀

Added a dual Xeon server.

Edit: Changed memory from 4x512MB to 2x2GB and used WPCREDIT to tune timings.
