It's funny how it says there's no ISA while it actually is there and I am using my CT3670 Sound Blaster which is an ISA sound card 🤣

I'd think that either the mainboard and/or chipset are not properly recognized, or your motherboard uses a bridge chip.

Ali s370 boards are a very uncommon sight here, I barely ever read anything about them, virtually never hear it mentioned.
Interesting how it doesn't have AGP.

I might have a single Ali chipsetted s370 board hidden somewhere in my attic, but I can't remember I ever tried to make it POST. I do remember it didn't have its I/O shield, though usually boards of that era all used similar I/O shields that are interchangeable.

Does it actually have an Ali chipset, or is it SiS?

Well, Kamerat found the actual model of that mobo some time ago.

Although I can't find a manual online of it anywhere... I do find the manual for the "M754LMR" model, but not of the "M754LMR+", which is the one (I think) I have, which has an ISA slot as an extra to the M754LMR model, it seems. (also some other stuff are arranged differently).

I looked to the specs and seems there are two variants with and without ISA, the chipset is an ALi Alladin TNT2 (ALi M1631) which has an Integrated nvidia TNT2. I suggest sticking with the IGP since is already good for DOS and even Win 9x games (at least as i heard about DOS with the discrete TNT2)

On mine there's some kind of chipset that has "GFX2" written on it.

Is the GFXpro which is just a relabeled ALi Alladin TNT2. I saw that name on the southbridge when i saw the first picture.

In the past, some manufactures like PCchips and some others uses some chipset aliases and relabeleed them. There a link with more info here:

Ah, ok.

How good is this graphics chipset ? I can play Quake 1 without any minimum lag, yet I have a PCI S3 Virge, is it worth to plug it in or is this TNT2 superior than the S3 Virge graphics card ?

MS-DOS 7.10 is what is bundled with Windows 98, and that's the only way it can be obtained, correct? Microsoft never intended anyone to run it separately.

Someone apparently managed to rip it off and make it standalone, but I went through a lot of compatibility issues with Windows 3.1.

Now I'm using Dr. Dos 7.03 on both this PC and my Olivetti M4 434 S.

TNT2 destroys the S3 Virge, also the TNT2 is fully DirectX 6.0 compilant

It will also depend on how (well) the TNT2 is implemented though.
TNT2 uses a 128bit memory bus, while this motherboard probably has a 64bit memory bus, there might be other differences.

Hmmm, ok so that's why Quake runs perfectly smooth without the S3 Virge, ok good to know !!!

Although I noticed very little frame drops in some games such as Blood and Redneck Rampage, I ain't sure if those are hardisk-related or graphics related though.

Only those two games and Duke Nukem 3D (well, BUILD games in general) do that, but it's weird... full 3D games such as Quake and Terminal Velocity are PERFECT, why do only BUILD games such as Dn3D, Redneck, Blood and Shadow Warrior have those frame drops ?
