I suspect it isn't actually "their" PCINFO program, so you'll need to look at the many utilities out there named PCINFO (or PC-INFO). And my guess would be shareware.

I managed to find two other programs called PC Info from these two sites, but they are all very basic and don't look anything like what you're looking for.

http://www.pcorner.com/list/DIAGS/PCINFO.ZIP/PC-INFO.DOC/
http://www.retroarchive.org/garbo/pc/miscutil/index.html

Maybe if you can get a copy of the book from amazon or ebay the book itself will provide more information about the program?

EDIT: Well... the book may not be any help either, because I found this:
https://openlibrary.org/works/OL3547518W/The_486_book

And with a free account I can look through the whole book and the section about the companion disk only mentions "SYSINFO" which looks like a different program as well, even though the cover mentions "PCINFO".

My Google-Foo is not good enough for this one!

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.

I have an Abacus book (Upgrading and Maintaining your PC, from 1993 or so) came with a utility floppy. I'll check and return back to you. I still have the exact contents, but I'm not sure if it came with a program called PCINFO. In anyways, I can send you the floppy contents.

Just because I'm curious, would it be possible to have this uploaded somewhere just in case others are looking for it?

I can attach it here, but I have not much idea if it will be proper considering forum rules.

That's true. I doubt anyone associated with the program still cares about it since it is seemingly not available anywhere anymore, but something like this should be left to a moderator to decide. The site does host a lot of old hard to find files though.
