The KT600 is alright. Sure, nForce is a bit faster, but not by much.

SATA ports are a bit weird, best to stick with IDE, especially for booting from the optical drive.

If you need more performance, I'd go straight to Athlon 64.

Well. I'm using my KT600+Barton with only IDE Drivers atm, i have already two Socket 754 builds (one with an Athlon 64 3200+ Newcastle, GF 7600GT AGP and a DFI K8T800 Pro-ALF and another with a Sempron 3100+ (without x64), GF FX5500 and a Foxconn Winfast 760GXK8MC) and planning to rebuild my Socket 939 system since the motherboard died sadly

What is your biggest Pentium 4 Collection?
Socket 423/478 Motherboards with Universal AGP Slot
Socket 478 Motherboards with PCI-E Slots
LGA 775 Motherboards with AGP Slots
