I have a Socket 940 retro rig with the following.

AMD Opteron 285
Asus Sk8V
2gb's of Reg Micron Ram
Nvidia Quadro FX 3000
Win XP 64
SB Audigy 2 ZS

I want to replace this slow Geforce FX based card with a X1950 Pro that I found on ebay but I'd like to know how much of an upgrade I could potentially get?

Nice, Hopefully the bridge chip on the ATI card doesn't have any issues with the K8T800.

If you do have issues, bridge less powerful cards are the 6800 GT and the X800 / X850 series.

Thanks for the advice Phil.

I'm bringing this up because I have this really weird Radeon X16xx AGP Card that claims to have DDR2 running at 800mhz (1600 Eff) on a 64 bit bus yet this card is completely unstable on this motherboard, yet somehow works on an 865 PE that I have.
