Is there any reason the recent work with the HardMPU project couldn't be taken and extended to include a DC to DC converter so that an external Roland module (Generally up to 9V 1A) could be powered from the ISA card (power taken either directly from the ISA bus, or probably better via a molex). That way an external power supply would not be required.

It'd also mean a mildly exotic all in one portable retro PC could be constructed using a Thinkpad Dock II - bundle in a Sound card, HardMPU with power, SCSI CDROM, CM32L, and possibly a PC Card SC55, and the entire retro bundle would be powered from one power cable.

Yeah, I'd say so for safety, too. Was just checking if every PC has had a molex and the answer seems to be yes, right from the 5150 onwards.

If there's not a problem doing it I might try and put something together, it'd be a lot more convenient.
