It all needs a good cleaning, but I can't wait to test it all out

Just so you know, ECC memory is usually for servers and not for desktop-grade computers. It won't work in a non-ECC motherboard. The motherboard you have doesn't support ECC memory AFAIK.

I/O, I/O,
It's off to disk I go,
With a bit and a byte
And a read and a write,
I/O, I/O

I'm aware, the guy gave me the old stuff in his closet he wasn't going to have any use for anymore, It was all free so I'm ok. Besides I've got some SD-Ram, this board if it posts will be the heart of my 98 machine

I remember that my brother had this card years ago. The cooler was really loud so we have replaced it by an Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 with the two turbo fan's.

About the FIC AZ11E:
It's interesting. According to the test at www.anandtech.com , it's chipset consists the VT8363 combinded with the 82C686B which is normally paired the VT8363A.

Nice. I remember that card. The era of confusing 8800 parts 😀

The artwork is nice, you cannot tell if the dirt is real or part of the picture 😊

It makes me want to play bioshock.

And yea the confusing 8800 series.

Lets see

8800 GT 256 > 8800 GS > 8800 GTS 320 >8800 GTS 640 > 8800 GT > 8800 GTS 640 112 > 8800 GTS 512 > 8800GTX > 8800Ultra

My buddy with an 8800 GTS 640 was so annoyed when I bought my 8800GS, because I could overclock it and whoop his GTS 640 which he also OC'd (we both had 1440x900 screens so my memory didnt factor in)

And then it continued with the 9000 series, 9800 GT, 9800 GTX, 9800 GTX+, 250 GTS, 9600 GT 😊

I don't think Nvidia has ever used the same chip for so many different graphics cards...

9800GX2
GTS 150 (OEM Card)

I was recently given a Grafika by DTK desktop computer. My wifes grandmother had it sitting in her basement so I asked if I could have it. She said yes so I brought it home. I had to replace the cmos battery and mess around with the jumpers on the controller card but eventually it booted.

Oops you're right... 😊 It's a pretty cool system though. Its interesting going through the hdd. Most of the files on it haven't been touched since around '97. Lots of Word docs to family members and pictures from AOL.
