ive got myself a real mpu-401 and im trying to find this old ancient software for DOS MIDI composing..
does anyone know where i might find a copy of this app for download?
the articles ive read indicate that it did not use Copy protection at all but yet i cant find a copy of it to download
anywhere online..... its a DOS app from the 1980s.. originally written by jim miller (now deceased)
it progressed to version 3.3 for DOS
the name was used to produce a 90s version for windows but im not interested in that version at all

Ok sorry for being a bit lost. Is the name of the software Personal Composer System/2? Do you know the exact name of the software?

Theres a DOS midi composer program called Midget. Not sure what else there is out there.

the software is from 1985.. and was written by a man named Jim Miller
who tragically died in the early 1990s from stepping on a sea urchin or getting bit by a jelly fish or something

as far as i know it only works in DOS with a real mpu-401 interface..

but its an important part of midi sequencing history . and Roland themselves preferred to demonstrate their equipment with
his application can be seen in this german video:

i think the system/2 refers to the windows 3.1 program of the same name which was created after the original programmers death to capitlize on the fame of the original program and the popularity of windows 3.1 - but im after the DOS version of the app!!!
