So, I got this motherboard yesterday:

Fair use/fair dealing exception

I can't find it on that mbarron site. Anyone know anything about it?

Performance, compatibility, etc?

Also:

The battery had been removed so it wouldn't leak and destroy the board. It's a 3.6V battery. The type is hard to read, but might be GP50BNKX3.

Since it is 3.6V I assume I can't just put a holder for a 3V CR2032 on there?

Nope. That's for rechargeable batteries only. The board delivers 5v trough those contacts to recharge the soldered barrel battery. See if the board put out power to the external battery connector - if it doesn't then you could solder some wires to a battery holder and use that.

check for a sticker under the bottom ISA slot. sometimes manufacturers put a model # there.

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

Thanks, that makes sense. Would I be able to use an external 3V battery like a CR2032, or does it have to be 3.6V you think?

I had one pretty similar in the past (but sis based), it was destroyed by a battery leak 🙁

Great! Thanks for the help! It's very, very close but not 100%. I think it's accurate with regards to what the jumpers do, though.
