Huh. I haven't found my PAS16 to be all that quiet either, but I haven't really compared them side-by-side with ideal mixer settings, or level-matched output. IMO, they're all quiet enough that it isn't a big deal. I don't expect them to be studio quality, and they don't disappoint. 😀

Tuning the mixer on the PAS16 makes a huge difference, i.e. muting everything you don't need and setting everything to 'play' only (not play/record).

You might have done that already, just throwing it out there!

Yea, same on the SB Pro 2 actually... If I mute the FM, it's reasonably quiet. I suppose I was mainly surprised by the fact that the PAS16 is much more quiet with the same OPL3.
