Hello again 😀

I come with a few questions about obscure ISA hardware I purchased off of eBay for my custom 486 build I'm still working on.

The first one is a WinRadio_fm ISA card I purchased for about $50. It came with a 1.44 MB driver diskette, labeled "WinRadio_fm Version 1.2 Software Installation" along with the original manual and ORIGINAL PURCHASE RECEIPT!. I decided to see if there was any info online about it and about the only thing I found was an old PC Mag back issue from 1993 featuring a small ad about this card, and a 5.25 bay adapter thing with a display and other cool stuff. For only $80!

I'm a little sad I wasn't able to acquire the 5.25 bay part as well, but happy I have this unique and obscure piece of computing history 😁

I also got a Winman Midiman 2x2 card for $15 with manual and driver diskette. This wasn't a factory disk though, it's a relabeled Sony 720k floppy labeled "Winman 2x2 Driver." Since I test floppy disks I receive in the mail to be working, I opened it on my custom 98 machine and a single zip file awaited me. I extracted the files to the desktop and they were all missing extensions. I thought this was strange so I opened the readme with notepad. It said something about opening "terminal" which confused me a bit. I then opened one of the files labeled "Winman" in Notepad and there were a few lines of text, one part saying "BeOS"

That's weird, and frustrating since I can't find drivers for the 2x2 model of the card 🤣

Anyways, I will gladly image these floppies for anyone interested and if someone can find some WINDOWS drivers for the Midiman card it'd be much appreciated.

Thanks 😁

winman 2x2 drivers are here: http://www.m-audio.com/support/drivers , it is listed under "LEGACY" products (as expected 🤣)
it appears though that only WIN98 and WINME drivers are available (it's the same)

I have the same FM radio card, mine was sold as the Maxi Radio FM by Guillemot International with the same FCC ID.
It doesn't have the 2 middle connectors and the soldered in cables though.
I still have the paper "manual" (only one sheet) and the original floppy that came with it.
Could you post the PC Mag link please? I'm curious about that 5.25 bay adapter thing with a display...

Oops, I was incorrect. It's from 1994. But here's the ad.

Wow, that actually exist?! That is one of the most awesomely dumb add-ons I have ever seen for a computer. Someone needs to find one of these and make a video.

I have the original driver diskette for this if you still happen to need the contents within.
