Hello,

I bought a used Quickshot QS-202 Squadron Commander today.

This is a weird joystick. Since it uses more buttons than a Gameport can handle it acts as a keyboard passthrough and uses the keyboard for supplemented key support.

It came in the box but it didn't come with any manuals or drivers. I thought, no big deal, I can just get those from the internet. Turns out there's only a handful of drivers and no manual to be found

I found a driver that seems to be working but I am hopelessly lost trying to program this thing. Supposedly you can use presets made for 20 different games but I can't figure out how to program it.

If anybody has the manual please send me a copy. Or if you know how to work it from experience please tell me. I really want to play Strike Commander with it.

Socket 7 machine, CPU yet undecided

I don't know if these hi-tech joystick need better joystick-ports with 4-axes or digital devices support ans some late soundcards has only 2-axis port.

Which one is the fourth axis?

And he also said it hijacks the keyboard for some digital info. Not to mention you could multiplex or shift register the data in through the gameport if you needed to.

Pitch, roll, throttle, yaw. Four axis.

And this joystick is complete HOTAS. It use 2 more axis for HAT. Probably controlled by pass-trough keyboard cable because it is programable device.
I know it was hard to use because can work in different setups.

Recently got the joystick myself from a thriftstore. Haven't tried them out beyond booting the control editor.

Mine had the drivers so:
