Just got this the other day for my 386SX off eBay - It looks like it has a QC OK with Cyrillic writing on it. It came from Bulgaria to replace my old I/O card. Works, but the COM port clearance is off and it's hard to plug a mouse into it.

Thought you guys might like it.

Interesting is that it has both soviet K555 series logic ICs and western 74LS series. 74s were not readily available in soviet territory back then. Maybe a later replacement though, as some of K555s were pin-compatible with 74 originals.

This soviet-era card was auctioned locally. But i forgot bid and wasn´t relisted.
I love design of old cards.

That's impressive, indeed!
And I dare to believe these cards don't suffer from any cost-cutting measures.
All necessary capacitors were installed, right ? 😉

Wires, instead of traces? Can't say I haven't seen that before - In 70s hobby magazines or in actual computers in the eastern Blok.

Cards are Czechoslovak. Maybe from one of TNS series computers.

Machines in video are different but some TNS computers were PC compatible.

Design of PCB looks similar to mine czechoslovak Hercules card from PC clone named "PC 16NB". So maybe for same system or made in same factory...

Bit of a design flaw - Upon removing the last mouse from the COM slot, it tore the connector to shit. I had to resolder a new connection to it. And now this:

The Eastern Blok must have had thinner cable housings - Makes sense in a planned economy 😉
