Love the ''but for a few sec or so'' part. It's electricity, it doesn't take long....

It's the same as saying a bullet hit you but luckily only for a split sec.

From the looks of things, the damage was done before i'd bought it anyway...

Well I had the gunk cleaned off & the caps replaced. Still no joy, but then we're pretty certain the Northbridge is actually cracked 😠 So i'm not surprised. I mean it was like that when it arrived anyway.
