Hello to all!

Now i want present you my fresh program:

PPT - Parallel Port Tester, with ability testing EXTERNAL inputs via data bus in BPP/EPP modes.

For test you need make special 🤣 LIHO loopback.
Here is LIHO (Low [data nibble] In, High Out) passive test loopback scheme:

2 <- 1
3 <- 14
4 <- 16
5 <- 17
6 -> 13
7 -> 12
8 -> 10
9 -> 11
15 - NC

For run PPT (DOS/3x/9x only) enter in cmdline:

ppt [278]

where 278 - hex number of base port for test, if need. Without number program will use port 0x378h.

Tested on: old ISA multicard, p3 integrated port, core i7 integrated port. Not work in ECP mode!

OK, so what if data pins (2,3,4,5) are high outputs, and control pins (1,14,16,17) are low outputs?
Can you safely say every parallel port in the world does not go up in smoke and works afterwards?

Personally, I know enough about my parallel ports I would not connect those together.

All ports, what i try - remain work. No smoke, even after direct wiring. But sure, better use resistors 10 kohm for this task...
