The bible I like to leaf through to pass the time is Scott Mueller's Upgrading and Repairing PC's. The 1996 edition has an especially nice PDF conversion available for free: http://ptgmedia.pearsoncmg.com/imprint_downlo … /DVD/PCs6th.pdf

Books like this were not all too out of place in the early to mid 90s but yeah that's a lot of book to read.

I have a copy of this book somewhere in storage left over from a PC Tech course I took at the local community college back in 2002-2003. My class was the last one to use this particular edition, so I wasn't able to sell it back to the campus bookstore (Which kinda sucked, being a typical poor college student in dire need of money and all 😵) . I decided to keep it anyway for nostalgia's sake. It's a beast, thicker than most major metro phone books. 🤣
