Looking for a case for a new build, specifically for a retro LAN party, so this time I won't settle with the usual CM Elite 361, want something period correct.

My preferences:

- ATX form factor. The mobo is a MSI MS-6119, it's the same size as just about all 440BX boards are.
- Off-white, want the 90's look.
- As small/slim as possible. This is important. Planning to install a 3.5" HDD, a CD drive, and a 3.5" FDD. Ideally I don't want any empty drive bays. Will sacrifice the floppy drive if there are smaller alternatives without floppy bay.
- Clean, minimalist design if possible. Small size has priority though.
- Both tower and desktop cases are fine. Would prefer a desktop case, but it would have to accept standard ATX PSU:s and mobos, might be hard to find.

So, do you guys happen to have any ideas of specific models to look for?

I'm not sure what's available in your area but for the USA an easily available retro style case that fits most of your criteria would be the HEC 7106BB. I have never personally owned it but reviews for it are good. I have been thinking about doing a 1GHzOutDoPhil build in one, but with computers stuff I've been focusing money and time on my dualie build and testing a large amount of parts I recently acquired.

Sadly the HEC 7106BB is black, but there is an elusive white version sold under model 7106WW. Alas, I haven't seen one for sale in ages.

(For the USA) Other than the above case, your only other option is to look at used cases.

Your biggest problem is you're using a full sized atx board

Most slimline or low profile cases are made for smaller motherboards so whatever case you end up getting it's most likely going to be a full height case that can support the 6 or 7 expansion slots you have. If you want a tiny retro machine you should use a micro atx board to begin with so your case can be low profile and your expansion card low profile.

Oh, well, looks like it would be best to just get whatever nice looking 90's ATX case I can get my hands on then. Thanks for the input 😀
