I've got a functional Tandy hard card installed in my 1000TL, and I want to back up the data on it to a compact flash card.

With the XT-IDE adapter installed, it no longer recognizes the hard card.

I expect it may be as simple as a BIOS address conflict, but just in case someone knows of a "trick" to get this to work, I thought I'd ask.

I had a similar problem but slightly opposite... had a 486 with integrated IDE controller on the motherboard; inserting a Tandy hard card overrode the onboard IDE... the IDE harddisk might as well have not existed and could only see the hard card no matter what I tried. Now, this was years and years ago and I don't even remember if I solved it or not.
