Hi all,
I recently was gifted a HP Pavilion 6745C from a friend.
I decided to open it up and clean the dirty fans, replace the thermal paste, and upgrade the ram to 768MB.
After reassembling it, it wouldn't turn on (note: I never powered it on before taking it apart, so I have no idea whether it worked before).
There was one time that I got the CPU fan to spin for a second, but I never got it to work again.
I think the CPU is damaged, or the motherboard has bad capacitors, though none of the caps looked bad.

Has anyone had bad caps one one of these boards?
If not, I might try and build a modern system in the tiny case.
