I have an old BCM SQ599/P54SB motherboard.

Two questions.

Can this board use an MMX CPU? If not, why?

Also, it has an SiS 6205 onboard chip but, did not come with a header cable. It has a 15 pin connector, should I be able to use a VGA header cable on this?

The manual says it supports P55C but lacks instructions on voltage setting.
You can buy a VGA header to DB15 cable.

That's the big issue. P55C requires a lower Vcore than P54. Some boards don't have a regulator capable of that lower output, or they don't expose it in BIOS, via jumpers, or via dip switches.
