What is it with Canadians winning lately? My wife is pleased. PM me an address to send to. If you have a U.S. address that would be better, if not, no problem, but I will be shipping it the slowest cheapest method because our mailing systems love to overcharge all of us.

They also were cool for using Atari ST computers on stage back in the 80s. haha

I knew someone would say something like that.

Here is a really nice gift box of cards & various parts. There is a Pine 32MB TNT2 AGP card and a (not sure what) 8MB AGP card. Both tested and work. The rest is untested, but look to be in excellent shape. You get all as-is. An Asound Gold 16-bit ISA audio card and a Sound Blaster 128 CT4750 PCI audio card. One modem which looks to be a PCI 56k, 3-Com PCI LAN card and an Adaptec 4 port USB 2.0 PCI card.

Also included is a 486 SX-25, AMD Athlon XP 2200+ and AMD Athlon 1GHz CPU. Various memory sticks and a 3ware SATA RAID card.

Ok. You talked me into it. Also adding a working AGP S3 Virge GX2 which has a fairly mangled mounting plate, but the card is fine. Also a weird GPS PCMCIA card thingie I was given by a friend that I never used.

Guess every 15 minutes. Must have a U.S. address to ship this to since Canada is too pricey and I cover shipping as usual.

Who is this? He was a major pioneer in the computer field so name one of the companies he founded.

^Trip Hawkins if you need the name as well, wasn't 100% sure if you wanted just the name of one of the companies. I'd have edited my reply but just wanted to make sure it didn't look like I changed my answer.

Correct. We have a winner. Just PM a mailing address.

Good eye. The face shot came from this well circulated two page magazine ad of Trip Hawkins and his rising company, Electronic Arts, fully supporting the Commodore Amiga platform.

In the spirit of Christmas fast approaching, it's time for Santa to start clearing out his attic full of old hardware to good little OCD, hardware collecting, retro obsessed boys and girls like him.

There was a Christmas demo on a floppy that was sold in the mid 1980s for multiple computer platforms. What company made it and what was the name of it?

First correct guess gets a gift from the sleigh. A fully tested AOpen AX33 motherboard with an Intel P-III 733/256/133/1.65V CPU and 256MB PC-133 RAM. BIOS has been flashed to the last and latest version.

Download page for drivers:

Since I pay shipping it must be a U.S. mailing address. Sorry, but sleigh fuel is getting expensive.

It wouldn't be Thoughtware's Jingle Disk, would it?

W00t! I'm a winner!

Thanks for these neat giveaways, it's really cool seeing things going out to people instead of just ending up in a landfill or whatever.

Santa's sleigh is still quite heavy and needs a lighter load.

He thinks he knows how many geeks and nerds have been naughty this year. He is thinking of a number between 20 and 50.

First one to guess right gets a gift from his sleigh. You can guess once every 15 minutes. An Intel D815EEA motherboard with a P-III 850/256/100/1.75V CPU and 256MB PC-133 RAM. Santa tested the CPU, but not the motherboard, but the previous elf said it works great. Santa also noticed all is in excellent cosmetic shape and all the elfpacitors look solid.

Once again, make sure you have a U.S. address for Santa to deliver to since sleigh fuel is at its highest rates this year.
