So I've been asking myself this question for a while now. These are easy to come by these days, so who here uses these and what good are these today and possibly in the future? I've got next to no experience with these myself, but that's mostly because I'm always kinda trailing behind when it comes to using the newest and latest hardware (like smartphones 🤣).

Hi Tetrium! Well, I'm using an USB 3.0 -pardon, USB 3.1 Gen 1- card reader most of the time.
It works well with modern SD, SDHC, SDXC, CF cards.

For ancient flash cards, like Sony Memory Stick and SmartMedia I've kept an old USB 1.1 reader.
It can't read SD cards beyond 2GB, though.

On my Macintosh, I would like to use a Firewire 800 card reader for CompactFlash,
but can't afford it right now (costs almost 50€). 😢

Edit: Just noticed this was your 7300th post! Congrats! 😊
