This question is mainly for VBE. NetBSD's VESA terminal will not work with the current BIOS on my onboard GD-5428 planar. On bootup, it only gives me three video modes to set, and fails to work on all of them.

BUT, since I am sure without a doubt that the BIOS chip is flash, I can easily program the memory with a replacement BIOS that alleviates this problem. Does anyone know of a good GD-542x BIOS that works well if most, if not all things using VBE?
