Riva TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro indicates M64 version of TNT2 with 64-bit memory bus. Basically most common and very underperforming card. If that's a reason for buying this pc, leave it. But Slot 1 AT board is quite uncommon and can be considered rare.

Pick it up for just the case. The case alone is worth the 15 dollars yet alone. Then you can allways sell the TNT2 for something like 3 or 4 dollars, just to get rid of it. Or even lower. The motherboard, if working, would be something a collector might buy as well. I don't know what AT style Slot1 boards are worth, yet I think it is at least worth some 15 or 20 US Dollars yet alone. Then you have parts in spare that might come handy as well.. I see that there are a soundcard, that can be reused untill a better can be found. And so on, and so on....

To keep it short... I would buy it instantly. The case looks clean and in good condition.

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....

I'd pay 15 just for an AT case like that alone. Recap the power supply and it's worth even more to me 😊

It also seems to have a PCI ethernet card, I just paid 6 bucks to get one for myself.

Sup. I like computers. Are you a computer?

I'm unable to identify the MB, obviously it has VIA chipset - I've perused a lot of images online and saw a lot of very similar MBs, but nothing quite like it.

Looks like a Zida BX98-3D.

It sure is! Good eye! I found a few listings of ebay ranged from $40 with CPU to 50 pounds without 🤣, but nobody seems to care too much for it. Anyway, I'm not into reselling and can't afford much physical hoarding, at least at the moment. I'll probably just gut this thing for it's skin if anything.

If scarcity of space is the problem, also keep in mind that a Baby AT based machine will be far smaller than just about any ATX build, without sacrificing full size expansion card compatibility, etc.

I don't think it's fair to call the m64 an underperformer. In its value segment it's on par with the tnt2 ultra, but high-res 32-bit gaming you wouldn't expect to do with a value card.

That's a pretty nice DOS machine, yeah. Enough power for all but the very most demanding games.

My only compatibility worry would be the PCI sound card for DOS - but throw in a Soundblaster-compatible ISA card (SB Pro, SB16, AEW32/64, Audiodrive, YMF718, etc), and you should be in like Flynn.

Alas, I'm down to emulation.

at 15$ you could make money on it. and a p2 system makes for a good late dos system for games like quake, duke3d and Mw2. just drop in a isa sound card and off you go.

If you want something like Phil's AMD setup, look into using your board with a VIA C3.

I am not sure how to understand this, but M64 was seriously hampered by it's narrower memory bus and performance often was less than 60% of proper TNT2, let alone TNT2 Ultra.

Yeah, it's definitely slower for anything 3D. For 2D, however, it's roughly on par, so it's a good card for DOS games, usually.
