Hi, i have an am486 dx4-100Mhz, i don't understand which socket does it needs. I know it use 3V instead of 5V so i need a Socket 3 motherboard? Or can i use even a scoket 1/2?

you need to find what motherboard supports 3volt. not all support it

By design, all Socket 3 motherboards should support both your 3.3V & 5V CPU's. However, later 3.3V CPU's, like your AMD 486DX4 & 5x86 CPU's (that had L1 write back cache) and your Cyrix 5x86 CPU's, requires a BIOS update to be able to properly "recognise" these CPU's.
Some Socket 2 motherboards also supported the 3.3V CPU's but, this was based on later revisions of those motherboards after they added a voltage regulator.
If you want to be sure, look out on sites like Amibay & eBay for a Socket 3 486 motherboard.
