Hi guys 😊 .
I just build a 486 dx2 66 mhz machine using this motherboard:

The motherboard already came with four 30-pin (1MB). I just changed for 72 pin FPM, but refuse to boot ( just beeps).
Already cleaned the slots, the sticks
I need to make some changes in the position of the jumpers to use the FPM sticks?
I just changed the jumpers only to use the dx2 cpu.
Buying 30 pin 4 mb ram is not viable for me.
Also the turbo header has 5 pin but the case conector has only conector but the turbo seems not to work( the trubo led does not light).
Also Already installed DOS 6.22 and dont show the EMS memory. Only the extended. The EMM386 dont come in the installations disks or just memory limitation?

Retro rig 1: Asus CUV4X, VIA c3 800, Voodoo Banshee (Diamond fusion) and SB32 ct3670.
Retro rig 2: Intel DX2 66, SB16 Ct1740 and Cirrus Logic VLB.

I can only help you with the EMM386 issue....
First run "memmaker", then edit config.sys and autoexec.bat to whatever you like. 😀

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....

Nice looking board!
FPM should be fine in any case... seems that it only supports FPM anyways. What size of stick(s) are you using? The sheet you provided does not tell which size "assemblies" are valid... although by having only two slots it shouldn't be that complicated.
Use one stick and go from there.

You already used the board to install DOS6.22 with 30-pin ram?

Yes is running. I dont instaled audio card or mouse yet. Just tested Commander Keen1. Runs fine.

Some questions:
The jumpers 31(CLKIN an CPUKLIN) and jump 37 ( wait states) are Turbo function related?
Jumpers 6,7 and 8 are just to clock selection. So, using the d 2 66mhz and setting to 20/25 mhz or even 40/50mhz is safe or will give problems? I just setted for 33mhz.

Today installed the sb16 ct1470 and Phills DOS pack. Played some Turrican II 😀 .

A DX/2 66 can easily be run with the lower bus speeds with 40 or 50 MHz CPu clock respectively, since it is clock doubling. Why you would do that is a different question. 40 and 50Mhz on the other hand, well 40 may work with good cooling for 80Mhz CPU clock, but don't bet on it, while 50Mhz is so far out of spec at 100Mhz CPU clock that it most certainly wont work, assuming it won't fry the CPU. Even them I would only even consider trying the 40Mhz with a 3.3V DX/2, the 5V runs hot as is already.

This chipset is fussy with RAM and chip density. Try different sticks. Check the IC part number to ensure it 5v FPM and not EDO or 3.3 v. 32 mb per stick is max. I dont think it needs a matched pair, but try anyway.

Plan your life wisely, you'll be dead before you know it.
