Hello friends, I'm having a big problem with my new 586 from amd.
I bought it about a month and a half ago. I ordered a serial genius mouse and downloaded some drivers, but he insists on not moving properly and doing some "clicks" alone.
The product is from an old "new" stock, with it sealed in the original box. I thought the problem could be the bad brand and the inappropriate driver, so I bought a second serial mouse.
This time an old logitech used and grubby, but in the original box still with the original drivers disks working.
This mouse was not even recognized by windows 95 and the detection during the installation of DOS drivers can only detect it if I stay moving and clicking the mouse during the process. Unfortunately after installing it works even worse than the Genius mouse.
The Genius worked perfectly on another PC with windows XP, even without drivers, and the Logitech was "almost" good, but had a few problems to move up a few times. Also without installing drivers.
Thinking that it could be a mix of bad luck and I bought a mouse with problems and another one of hard detection by windows 95, I did a third attempt and bought an old Microsoft serial mouse.
Again, windows 95 can not recognize it even after installing the drivers.
Now I am suspicious that my motherboard is having problem with it onboard controllers.
Is it possible to use a new PCI controller card with such a system?
Will I have problems so that DOS, Windows 3.11 and 95 can not recognize this controller card?
I have easy access to new cards like this: https://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-69693 … -seriais-nf-_JM
I also found this old option here: https://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-93780 … ss-3-serial-_JM
Don't know what is the best option or if it will solve my problem.
