According to the manual, the expansion slots on this board run at 4.77 MHz even when the CPU is running at 7.16 or 10MHz.

Greetings.
Can you please share ROMs contents of this board? Mine is basically the same (minus half 44256 slots), but with a strange BIOS (same sticker, but with v1.07 written by hand). Both halves that should be even/odd are almost identical, and I think that's why my board appears to be dead (no video, no beeps).
I've attached my ROM dumps, just in case, in raw and intel hex formats.

I have a quite similar one, but without HI/LO Bios. But you should be able to split my file. I had difficulties getting it running because of the weird RAM configuration, but now it works. Try the Supersoft-ROM for diagnosis 😉

Unbelievably, I obtained the SAME TYPE OF BOARD AGAIN (Hi/Lo, ver 2.01), in a complete computer, with a bootable hard disk and high density floppies, which both work.

I'll be dumping the ROM at some point.

PM me if interested 😉

If you can put it here online on the forum that would be nice.

If iam going to test my 8086 NEC V30 motherboard i will also upload those roms as well.

~ At least it can do black and white~

That's the plan - it's retrobriting now (indoors, severe yellow, even orange-ness) so it'll be doing that by itself for the next couple days, but yes, I will post the dumps here.

Were the ST and the NEST produced side by side? And if so, does BIOS version on the ST correlate to the version number on the NEST? If so, and there were late BIOS releases for the ST but not for the NEST, it should be possible to split the ST ROM into even and odd banks for use on the NEST.

Thanks, but I already obtained one from Anonymous Coward. I even restored original one (1.07).

What are you using to dump the ROM? Usually I use NSSI, but when I run it on the V30, I get a text summary only.

Hi all,

I have Juko XT replica. What kind of keyboard should I get ? AT or XT ?

Yep, I just fired up my Juko with an AT keyboard - it told me to go to hell (keyboard locked) - I'm not sure if the previous time I had one it was just a 101-key with an AT/XT switch or that it somehow autodetected what it was connected to, but yeah, a straight-up AT keyboard will not work.

Now that the Nest is out, I might as well start experimenting on it. Will it take an SCSI CDROM and a Radlib card without too much trouble?

I sense a new idea for a Youtube live stream 😁

Recently some 8087 clone FPUs from NEC were discovered. Supposedly they are CMOS too, which implies they may be okay at speeds that exceed 10MHz. Anyone else buy one?

Wow! Didn't know they ever actually made a V20/V30 FPU.
They seem not have made it into mass production... maybe a it was bit too late for that in 1990.
Demand seems to be high, I wonder whether there are any left soon... and from what kind of appliance they were scavenged.

Cpuworld might have more. I’d also be really interested to know where they came from.

I put in my "order" - does anyone know how this works? Will there be a PM confirmation or something?

I got a receipt from CPU Shack. You can always just send him a PM to find out.

Here's where those NEC 8087s come from:

Yaskawa Electric JANCD-HA03 Control Board REV.B D70116C PLC AUTOMATION CARD

Search for that on eBay if you want to see a photo.
