People always talks about P1 133, 166 and 200 MHz for DOS.
The p1 100 mhz version (socket 7) will be a good option ( disabling the caches of course) for a pure DOS?

Retro rig 1: Asus CUV4X, VIA c3 800, Voodoo Banshee (Diamond fusion) and SB32 ct3670.
Retro rig 2: Intel DX2 66, SB16 Ct1740 and Cirrus Logic VLB.

It'll be fine, unless you really want to play Extreme Assault or something else new and 16bppey. It's certainly fine for Quake.

i found that a P100 really offered no additional performance options that I didn't have with an MMX. Having a 1.5x multiplier wasn't beneficial.

With a couple of toggle switches I can change my 233 MMX to run at 100, 133, 175 or 233mhz. I run at 133 mhz most of the time.
