I bought this weekend an HP Brio 8014 (Pentium MMX 200 - 430VX chipset)
I found no documentation, not BIOS files anywhere and I'd like to backup its Phoenix BIOS. I tried Winphlash - phlash and phlash16 but it I need a BIOS file just to make a backup, it doesn't make any sense to me.
I found a utility called "Crisis Disk" with a dummy WPH file and dumped something, but I don't know how to trim the file, as I get over 1.4MB file, and I'm sure the BIOS of this machine is 128 KB or so...
Plus, I've read elsewhere that Phoenix BIOSes have an additional "platform" file with information not saved in the EEPROM chip. Is this always been so? I mean, do I need this "platform" information for this 1997 BIOS? If so, how do I get it? How can I properly save it into a file?
Thank you
