Hi, all

I've been looking for a 386 board that can use a 386DX33 chip (for stuff like Wing Commander) — however, all I can find are boards with soldered CPUs like AMD 386DX40 or SX chips. I've been offered this board (same model, but from a different place):

It's MA022 REV B (can't find any jumper info in stuff like TH99). It has an AMD 386DX40 chip, but it also has proper CPU socket. However, it's listed as 386/486 board everywhere I can see. So I have two questions:

- can a socket on a board like this be only used for upgrade chips like Cyrix CX486DLC, or I can I stick an Intel 386DX33 into it?
- I see the jumpers for setting the clock — 33 or 40 MHz and there doesn't seem to be any oscillator. Can I just change the clock of the onboard AMD 386DX40 to 33 MHz?

P.S.: just in case, the board on the photos is not the actual board I'm getting — just the same model. I'm aware there's an IC missing and some SIMM sockets are broken.

Yes, you can stick any 386DX or Cyrix 486 CPU.
Yes, you can change it.

It takes a Cyrix 486DLC, not a proper 168-pin 486 CPU. This is a 386 motherboard (though it does use a 486 chipset).
