I don’t know if this applies to this forum or not but here goes. I have a PalmPilot Professional. It no longer boots. It just shows the green screen but nothing else. Does anyone have any knowledge of how these things operate and know of any steps I should take to troubleshoot the issue? Thanks!
Have you tried a hard reset? With the Palm III this is done by holding down the reset button while pressing the power button.

Yes. Unfortunately that did not work. On this model it’s done by holding power then pressing the reset button and then up. However there is no change after doing this. Just a blank backlit green screen. There is also a slight humming noise coming from it as well.
Maybe the ROM is corrupted.

I would assume that would mean the device is done for if the ROM is corrupt correct?
Not really. In most devices the ROM is a flash or EPROM, so it can be rewritten.
I don't know if that is possible in a Palm, or how can it be done.
