Like many of you I am a hoarder of pc hardware. And I like to store it safe and clean. I have seen cpu trays on eBay, but the only one selling them for 486 and p1 is a fraud. I ordered, got nothing, got money back from PayPal but he is still ‘selling’.
Do you know any other places?
How are you storing them atm?
Before I got some stacks of CPU trays, I tried several ways of storing them. One of which was to try to make my own using thin sheets of wood and little strips of cardboard glued to them. These trays couldn't really stack (the CPUs would stick out over the top of the cardboard and they slid off too easily) but it was at least somewhat better then just having them lay around 🤣.
But after some experimentation I ended up concluding that nothing beats the real thing, especially since I found that the hardest part was to store the CPUs in as little room as possible.
