Hi, I am trying to fix a Zenith branded 486 motherboard. It had some battery leakage which I cleaned up, but the board still has issues. I found one broken trace, and fixed it, but that didn't help.

The problem is the system won't boot from a hard drive or a floppy. If I plugged in the drive controller from my PC/AT, it would boot, but the floppy wouldn't work.

This board has a Phoenix BIOS, and onboard drive controller. The Floppy drive does a seek test at boot, but it just says that there is no bootable device found, even with a good drive and boot disk. The IDE controller says that no matter what drive I throw at it, it has a bad boot sector.
