Would you happen to know the chip number for those? And why are there two? Do they go in series?

They are 2 channel amps, see NJM072D datasheet here: https://www.njr.com/semicon/products/NJM072.html
Chances are the guy is using all 4 channels of the OPL3 just like that texelec opl3 card
