Hello everyone!
Thanks to Vogons I found out that PCI Ultra ATA controllers might not guarantee great Windows 3.11 performance.
If the work in DOS, Windows 3.11 will be able to "function" via the INT13 thing.
But if one wants to unleash Win 3.11 386 mode advanced performance, one needs to have the specific Fastdisk 386 drivers for Win 3.11 for a given controller.
So now my question is:
What are the best PCI Ultra ATA controllers that run under DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.11, and that have those Fastdisk drivers for windows?
Both:
• Best caching controllers
• Best non-caching controllers
