Okay. So. While i opened up my T4900CT, i noticed corrosion on the backup battery. I disconnected it, cleaned off the leakage and took a closer look. It definitely had leaked or exploded sometime in the past. Now, after some google digging and head scratching, I have come to the forums to ask for another set of eyes!

As you can see, there was significant leakage from both the positive and negative sides of the battery.

I have browsed around ebay and with several battery sites but have not been able to locate a replacement.

I have also not been able to find a replacement for the CMO battery labeled, "Toshiba VG2430". It is a 3v Lithium button battery. Unintentionally, I also may have accidentally ripped the Zif cable when i was dismantling the laptop. So I will need to find a replacement for that as well.
