Hello everyone, I wrote about this build specs in " Anything else besides games on your retro PC? How old are You? ". I have troubles with it, wich i have never faced before. Here's the hardware.

Motherboard ASUS P/I-P55TP4XE with 256K Cache
4 sticks of 8mb ram
Pentium-S 133
256 kb Cache module
Matrox Millennium 4mb
Creative Sound Blaster AWE32 CT3990

Everethyng works fine in Win95 RTM, except floppy. It shown like 5,25 in the system. In bios in's setup as 3,5. Even after chipset 430FX driver, the same thing. But i wan't DOS 6.22 run on it. And whet HDD is formated, floppy installs DOS fine. After it installed, i can't install anything on DOS.
CD driver, Wolfinstein 3D, Win 3.11.... It gives me "sector not found reading drive a".
Don't know what to do whith this!!!!! Please HELP. I WANT DOS 6.22 + WIN 3.11 machine with CD ROM.

check with another floppy drive
disable the floppy controller under bios and use an isa i/o card for testing
change the floppy cable, it may be faulty

i will try with another cable, but i don't have isa i/o card.... Also floppy is GOTEK Emulator, and it's works fine with 440BX motherboards (ASUS P2B & P3BF)

What firmware are you using with the Gotek emulator?

Please format your firmware to either FlashFloppy or HxC the default firmware is unreliable at best. I would not trust using it with this firmware to determine whether the hardware is faulty. Do you have any real floppy drives to test with?

I don't know.... I mus put my self there where i shuold't be. This motherboard worlks only in Windows 95 (RTM), of course other versions of it, and 98 and SE and ME, but god goddamned not only in dos 6.22. Software doesn't solves the problem. Gotek works on other boards.

I found here on VOGONS the same topic 1.44 floppy problem in DOS 6.22. 1.44 floppy problem in DOS 6.22
Member call it self Cadderlik solved this problem by changing Dallas batery, to another. So in my case, should i just rework my Dallas by adding fresh CR2032 battery, or i should by the whole new Dallas from eBay. I'v heard that a lot of them D.O.A.
