I've been considering upgrading the RAM in some of my machines, in this case 72 pin simms, but I suppose the topic is the same for most computers. What to look for? I mean, obviously with Simms it's to be bought in matching pairs, but beyond that, what brands are good? What ones are Chinese junk? Anything to look for in a seller? For my P1 systems, I'd think 64mb or 128 mb if I get a good deal would be plenty. Just trying to eliminate the win9x disk thrashing. Nowadays, this is much cheaper than it was when thIs stuff was new. Almost silly not to upgrade.

I usually just buy large lots that are being sold for cheap. I should have enough RAM to last me for years now.

The RAM brands from back then kind of all got mushed together and didn't really matter as much for 30-pin and 72-pin stuff.

Odd you mentioned buying in lots - I recently did that and bought a lot of 5 120gb hdds for my collection. Big enough to not run out of space, but not so big win9x throws a fit. Saves on shipping too.
