Folks,

is there any kind of adapter that would allow me to attach regular PC (AT or PS/2) keyboard to an Amstrad PC (like 1512 or 2286)? I know the keyboard protocol is different so an active adapter is needed, I just don't want to create my own adapter, thus reinvent the wheel in case there already is such a thing.

Thanks!

I have an Amstrad as well and dreading the day when the keyboard gives up knowing a replacement will be nigh on impossible to obtain. Why they insisted in using so many eccentric/proprietary designs for such common parts is beyond me.

So, yeah an adapter would be very handy like you say. That way I can connect the damn thing to my kvm switch without the need for a separate keyboard and rodent (bus mouse, not one of those silly PS/2 or serial things (why, because Amstrad)) cluttering up the place.
