First of all, to any moderator or administrator, feel free to move this topic if needed, I didn't know where to post this.
I have a Dell Inspiron 900 netbook, in some places these were known as Dell Inspiron Mini 9.
Now to the problem:
I can install Linux, Windows 7 and 8.1 but not XP, it simply locks in the black screen after the "loading files" part of the setup
i've experienced that problem when there are problems with the HDD, but in this case this netbook has an 8GB SSD connected via IDE
I can't find what's going on, i've tried a lot of solutions for similar problems but nothing
By the way, Windows 2000 Professional setup has the same exact problem. With windows 98SE and ME though, there are a lot of BSOD through the installation process, but it gets installed.
That's very annoying because i want this netbook to be able to use XP, Linux is not suitable for my needings and Windows 7 doesn't even leave a gigabyte of free space.
What can I do? Thanks
