I will not be breaking Vogons rules and will not be selling this gear here for obvious reasons. Some of you have shown interest, though, in seeing the vintage hardware that was obtained and I would be glad to start posting pics of it in this thread. If it shows up here it means I still have it in limited quantities and it will be showing up somewhere else on the Interwebs for you to obtain in the near future. I have completed the private sale over at Discord for the most part, but there is a ton of great stuff still left. Most of it is new old stock and what is not is mostly in mint new like condition. Think of this as window browsing, but don't ask what the price is and don't ask to buy it because I can't do that here. If you have even decent search skills, you will find it somewhere else. I can tell you it will be wandering in other corridors of the web after the holidays and not before. I am just too busy right now. I hope this thread is fun for you to look at as I can tell you it has been fun discovering all of this great gear that has been in boxes, dormant, for decades.

New old stock.

These are probably the best Socket 8 coolers you will ever focus your eyeballs on. Originally designed for ALR servers (namely the 6x6 variety) they can be easily rewired for a standard Socket 8 motherboard. The kit also comes with one VRM.

This single Socket 8 board has the old style ATX ports in back and you bet I have the original old ATX style backplate to go with it.

I *love* those EliteGroup stickers & box art. Is this from before or after the PC Chips merger?

Before the merger from what it looks like. EliteGroups didn't merge with PC Chips until 2005.

I also have a PCChips Socket 754 motherboard (M871G) from 2005 that was around that time the merger was about ready to start. In fact, I also have a Maxtor 60GB HDD that I bought brand new last year that looked like the old Quantum Fireball hard drives (the HDD was made at the time when Maxtor bought out Quantum and merged with them).

Yes. The motherboard manual is dated 1996. Way before any of that happened it looks like. It is a great looking board.

Used mint condition M-Tech R418W2. Have only a few of these. Some with fully populated cache, some with half populated cache and some with no cache and missing BIOS. All boards are in mint condition otherwise.
