Man that Permedia(?) looks nice, some proper solid engineering went into that card. Love the Banshees too.

Used mint condition M-Tech R418W2. Have only a few of these. Some with fully populated cache, some with half populated cache and some with no cache and missing BIOS. All boards are in mint condition otherwise.

That motherboard looks amazing.

Great pictures, the SiS based board's looking great... I have never seen one which also featured conectors for 30pin SIMMs.

Sound cards were the weakest point in this haul probably because this all came from a corporate environment. Just a handful and none that were that interesting. I did sell a couple of Media Vision sound cards on the Discord channel, but that was about the only highlight for sound.

Another new old stock ALR server grade Socket 8 HSF. This one has one large fan instead of the two mini fans. It also includes a VRM.

I will not be breaking Vogons rules and will not be selling this gear here for obvious reasons. Some of you have shown interest, though, in seeing the vintage hardware that was obtained and I would be glad to start posting pics of it in this thread. If it shows up here it means I still have it in limited quantities and it will be showing up somewhere else on the Interwebs for you to obtain in the near future. I have completed the private sale over at Discord for the most part, but there is a ton of great stuff still left. Most of it is new old stock and what is not is mostly in mint new like condition. Think of this as window browsing, but don't ask what the price is and don't ask to buy it because I can't do that here. If you have even decent search skills, you will find it somewhere else. I can tell you it will be wandering in other corridors of the web after the holidays and not before. I am just too busy right now. I hope this thread is fun for you to look at as I can tell you it has been fun discovering all of this great gear that has been in boxes, dormant, for decades.

This thread has been discussed by the mods. You are very close to breaking the rules here as your intent is to sell these items and it can be argued you're using this thread for advertisement as you're just posting items that you have left in limited quantities. If it becomes a re-occurrent thread style from users, rules might be changed.

He's clearly making every possible effort to stay within the rules. I've been really enjoying all the pics. Lots of us just want to see what was found in the haul & the incredible story behind it.

Some users have alerted us to this thread, it won't be closed or anything, this is just a heads up. We know alot of you (including myself) are enjoying the story and pictures, and I hope more will be posted.

He is technically not breaking the rules since there are no links and no trading directly in the thread, but it can be argued its main purpose is to advertise the items he has for sale. If the thread was for all/most interesting items he got in the haul and no specific markings what was for sale there would be no issue. I hope you can understand it's a slipperly slope if everyone started doing this type of "window browsing" threads of items for sale.

I push the rules here quite a bit and I knew I was walking the edge with this one. The hardware giveaway thread was another Vogons nail-biter. 🤣 Truth is, I would have done this at Vcfed where full commerce is allowed, but they compress their images so much they look terrible, new users can't PM or reply until they have ten posts and their file size limits are tiny. So if you want me to move it there I have no problem with that just give me a heads up and I'll restart the thread over there.
